Privacy notice
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This notice explains how Ignite Enterprises Ltd, trading as Ignite Group, collects and uses personal information when you visit this website or contact us through it. We take the confidentiality of every enquiry seriously, and we only use your information in the ways described here.
Who we are
The data controller is Ignite Enterprises Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08504327, with its registered office at 1st Floor, 5 Century Court, Tolpits Lane, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD18 9PX.
If you have any question about this notice or how we handle your information, please write to us at our registered office, or send a message through the enquiry form on this website marked "Privacy", or call us on 020 7754 5453.
What information we collect
When you submit our enquiry form, we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, company or firm, email address, phone number, whether you are an owner or an adviser, your timeframe and any message you include.
If our discussions progress, we may also receive information about you as an owner, director or employee of a business, for example in company accounts or documents shared under a confidentiality agreement.
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to keep the website secure and working properly.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange conversations or meetings.
- To assess and discuss a possible acquisition or investment, including due diligence and negotiating terms.
- To keep a record of our correspondence.
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your information for marketing mailings, and we never sell it.
Our lawful basis
We process your information on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and exploring potential transactions with business owners and their advisers. Where we are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, we also rely on that basis. Where we must keep records by law, we rely on our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
Your enquiry is handled in confidence. We share information only where necessary with:
- Our website and form hosting provider, Netlify, which stores form submissions on our behalf.
- Our professional advisers, such as accountants, solicitors and finance providers, who are bound by duties of confidentiality, when needed to evaluate or complete a transaction.
- Authorities or regulators, where we are required to by law.
We will not contact your staff, clients or suppliers about an enquiry without your agreement.
International transfers
Some of our service providers, including Netlify, may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry does not lead to further discussions, we delete it within 24 months of our last contact. Information relating to a transaction that proceeds is kept for as long as needed for that transaction and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, typically up to six years after it completes.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies or use analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts are served by Bunny Fonts, a European provider that does not log visitors' IP addresses.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, or restrict how we use it;
- object to our use of your information based on legitimate interests;
- ask for your information to be transferred to you or another organisation.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. If you live in the European Union, you can contact the data protection authority in your country.
